Our Pagani Automobili Story
We visit Pagani Automobili – Modena We have always been drawn to Pagani. Except for the obvious reason that these cars are moving works of art, much of the attraction is due to the design philosophy and the personal story of Horatio Pagani, the man behind this iconic 20 year old brand. There are many…
Car Fine Art – an introduction
Car Fine Art Part 2 So much has been written on design in general and car design is no different. For most of us when we look at a beautiful car, our immediate initial response is that the car is a thing of beauty or not. The car is seen as a whole, a unit…

We visit the Louwman Museum
The Louwman Museum has over two hundred and fifty antique and classic motor cars. It is the world’s oldest and in our minds the most beautifully displayed collection we have ever seen. The museum does not just “show” the cars, but takes one on a journey through time, telling the story of how cars changed…
Acclaimed automotive photographer Sarel van Staden puts the Profoto A1 through its paces.
A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents. I should be incapable of drawing a single stroke at the present moment; and yet I feel that I never was a greater artist than now. When, while the lovely valley teems with vapour around me, and the meridian sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of my trees, and but a few stray gleams steal into the inner sanctuary, I throw myself down among the tall grass by the trickling stream; and, as I lie close to the earth, a thousand unknown plants are noticed by me: when I hear the buzz of the little world among the stalks, and grow familiar with the countless indescribable forms of the insects and flies, then I feel the presence of the Almighty, who formed us in his own image, and the breath of that universal love which bears and sustains us, as it floats around us in an eternity of blist.
More accolades for the FDL technique…
Over the years we have won several awards and received many accolades. The ones we hold dearest are the ones won for images made using our FDL-technique. We knew from the on-set when we developed the technique, that we where onto something great. We had found a way to beautifully light details on cars! Acclaimed…
